Information and Resources Regarding Disaster Relief
in China and Burma

Many members and friends of Gw/oB have contacted us inquiring about reliable venues for providing relief aid to China and Burma. Below please find a list of resources compiled on recommendations from trusted friends and allies. • The Global Fund for Women has posted information recommending a number of reputable organizations that have an on-the-ground presence or connections inside Burma and China. More at http://www.globalfundforwomen.org/cms/
   
• The Zigen Fund, with whom Gw/oB has worked with on previous conferences, is receiving and distributing relief aid. More at http://www.zigen.org/
   
• The Bridge Fund, a project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors has established a special fund, working in close coordination with China Charity Federation, Sichuan International Friendship Association and the Sichuan Red Cross. • The Foundation for the People of Burma has established a Cyclone Relief and Rebuild Fund. Efforts will focus on working with the foundation's existing partner network in Rangoon and on the Thai-Burma border to organize and financially support relief efforts. • Give2Asia is working with organizations to provide a variety of supports to organizations in Burma and China. More at http://www.give2asia.org
   
• Arabella Philanthropic Investment Advisors has posted the transcript and audio file of a recent teleconference they hosted on the disaster in Burma. Arabella has also established a disaster response fund. More at http://www.arabellaadvisors.com/pages/BurmaRecovery.html
   
• The San Francisco Foundation, in conjunction with Give2Asia and the Foundation for the People of Burma, hosted an emergency briefing for professional advisors, clients and donors on philanthropic responses to the two disasters.
